Assembly Professional Assembly Service

When you purchase a new bicycle, the setup directly determines performance, safety and durability. Our team of specialist mechanics carries out a complete preparation before dispatch so that your bicycle arrives in optimal riding condition from the very first moment.

What the service includes

Inspection and quality control We inspect each component when unpacking the bicycle, documenting any transit damage before proceeding with assembly.

Drivetrain adjustment We check the alignment of the derailleur hanger and adjust the complete groupset to ensure precise, quiet shifting across all gears.

Brake setup We align calipers, centre rotors and adjust pads. On hydraulic systems, we bleed the brakes when necessary to ensure progressive and consistent braking performance.

Torque check We use a torque wrench to check the tightening of cranks, stem, handlebars, seatpost, wheels and structural components, following manufacturer specifications.

Headset and suspension adjustment We check headset play and configure the preload, rebound and compression of the suspension according to the rider's weight.

Electronic systems and eBike For Di2, AXS or similar groupsets, we perform synchronisation, firmware updates and shift limit adjustments. For electric bicycles, we configure the display and verify battery performance.

How your bicycle arrives

To ensure integrity during transport, all bicycles are shipped with the following components removed: handlebars, saddle, seatpost, front wheel and pedals. The rest of the bicycle arrives fully assembled.

With the Assembly service, we carry out the complete assembly and setup before dispatch. When you receive the bicycle, you simply need to unbox it.

Without the Assembly service

If you choose not to include it, we recommend that the final assembly be carried out by a specialist mechanic, particularly for precision components and electronic systems. Some brands publish technical documentation on their official websites which may serve as a reference.

IBK accepts no responsibility for damage resulting from incorrect assembly carried out by the customer or third parties.
